Our client, a licensed Closed Pension Fund Administrator in Nigeria is seeking a highly qualified individual to join its Board of Directors as an Independent Non- Executive Director. The organisation manages the pension assets of employees in a defined benefit scheme and is committed to excellence in corporate governance, investment stewardship, and long-term financial sustainability for its members.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Extensive expertise in investment management, pension fund administration, and market finance, with a deep understanding of the Nigerian pension industry and its regulatory landscape.
- A proven record in overseeing asset allocation, managing diversified portfolios, and mitigating financial risks in complex regulatory environments.
- Professional experience in investment banking, private equity, and capital markets, with the ability to navigate structuring, due diligence, and strategic financial decisions.
- A background in leading organisational transformation, with the ability to contribute to change management and sustained performance.
- Strong familiarity with actuarial valuations and compliance frameworks.
- A postgraduate degree in finance or a closely related field, and at least 10 years of experience serving as a director is desirable.
- Experience in board governance, including fiduciary duties, ethical oversight, and independent decision-making.
