Annual Corporate Governance Conference 2023

The Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria is set to hold its Annual Conference titled “ESG and Corporate Governance: Aligning Strategies for Sustainable Success.” This hybrid event is scheduled to take place in Lagos on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, under the distinguished Chairmanship of its President, Mr. Muhammad K. Ahmad, OON.

This year’s conference focal point underscores the growing significance of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles in the contemporary business landscape. In the wake of the post-COVID-19 era, the adoption of these principles has become paramount for investors, individuals, and organizations as they navigate the complexities of the present times.

As always, the Conference is a major highlight on the Society’s annual calendar, providing a platform for insightful discourse on corporate governance issues, this edition explores how businesses can integrate sustainability practices to access the myriad opportunities associated with incorporating ESG factors into a company’s growth strategies.

It is a convergence of Board of Directors, Investors, Regulatory Bodies, Financial Institutions, Public and Private Sectors, Captains of Industries, and other Stakeholders to share and discuss emerging issues in corporate governance.
