The Annual Corporate Governance Conference is a platform that brings together members of the Society, Business Professionals, Captains of Industry, C-Suite Executives, Business Owners and Corporate Governance Enthusiasts to discuss issues and challenges of effective Governance in Nigeria and providing solutions for addressing same.

Similarly, the 2020 Annual Corporate Governance Conference scheduled to hold virtually on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 (11am-2pm) will bring together Corporate Governance stakeholders and discussants in a conversation which will be focused on “CORPORATE GOVERNANCE IN THE AGE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION”.

The conference this year, will seek to address the issues, solutions, challenges, and sustenance of highly upheld principles of Corporate Governance in the ear of Technology Disruptions and Digital Transformation.

Participants will be given the opportunity to contribute to charting the course necessary for Building Governance frameworks that are flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changes and emerging requirements of the New Normal.

Dr. Evans Woherem is the founding chairman of Interswitch, an e-payment system in Nigeria, the key founder and Director of Valuecard Ltd, Nigeria. He was previously the Executive Director First Bank PLC, Deputy Managing Director of First Interstate Bank Ltd, Nigeria and Group Executive Director of Unity Bank Plc, Nigeria. I was also Chairman, Rivers State Microfinance Agency (RIMA). He is the MD/CEO, Compumetrics Solutions Ltd., an IT Consultancy company, Chairman, Digital Africa, Africa’s premier consumer technology show which holds annually, Chairman, Northlink Insurance Brokers Ltd, an Insurance Brokerage company, ChairmanChams Access Ltd., DirectorChams Plc and also the Facilitator of the Business Information Systems module of the MSc/PhD degrees of the University of Port Harcourt Institute of Engineering, Technology and Innovation Management (METI), where he also supervises some MSc. and PhD. students’ research.

Mrs. Ndidi O. Nwuneli, MFR, Managing partner, Sahel Consulting

Ndidi is a Co-Founder of Sahel Consulting and serves as its managing partner. She has 23 years of experience in international development, and through her work with Sahel has shaped agriculture strategy and policy in West Africa for a range of clients in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

She is also the co-founder of AACE Foods, a social enterprise which processes nutritious food made from the best of West Africa’s cereals, herbs, pulses and spices. She is the founder of LEAP Africa which works across Africa inspiring, empowering and equipping the next generation of dynamic, principled and innovative young leaders.

Ndidi started her career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working in their Chicago, New York and Johannesburg Offices. She was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and received a National Honour – Member of the Federal Republic from the Nigerian Government. She was listed as one of the 20 Youngest Power African Women by Forbes.

Ndidi holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an undergraduate degree with honours in Multinational and Strategic Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She was a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business & Government at the Harvard Kennedy School and a 2018 Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow.

Ndidi serves as a director for Nestle Nigeria Plc., Nigerian Breweries Plc (Heineken). Godrej Consumer Products India, Fairfax Africa Canada, World Vegetable Center and on the Royal DSM Sustainability Board, Netherlands. She is the author of “Social Innovation in Africa: A Practical Guide for Scaling Impact,” published by Routledge. She is a TED Global speaker and her work has been featured on CNN, BBC, Bloomberg and a range of other international and local media outlets.

Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu, founding Managing Director/CEO of multiple award-winning technology solutions pioneer, InfoGraphics Nigeria, has almost 30 years of an eclectic career in technology strategy, software development, marketing communications, digital design, change and transformation in private and public sectors with focus on Education, Health, and Governance. InfoGraphics became the first African company to be a 2-time Microsoft Worldwide Award Partner of the Year, 4-time winner Regional awards, pioneer Microsoft Academic Services Partner responsible for over 300 partners in 7 countries in West Africa, and leading exponent of Enterprise Collaboration solutions in West Africa. He also worked in Microsoft Corporation as General Manager (Anglophone West Africa) departing in 2009 to pursue his vision of a borderless Africa as Managing Partner of GrandCentral and and Lead Partner, iX Consults, a boutique start-up incubator.
